| Sumario: | In this article we present the results of different research projects and a master's thesis in which we address the links between youth experiences of recognition and contempt in educational institutions and the support they have to cope with highschool. From the co-production of biographical narratives with young people from popular sectors who attend various educational and community institutions in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires and the city of Cordoba, Argentina, we address the unique conexion that occurs between their socio-youthful conditions and their institutional experiences, and what elements are put into play to sustain their affiliation to them. Young people build and sustain their existential ecologies and their school trajectories from the mobilization and correlation —sometimes conflictive— of diverse support in three major social interworlds: families, youth-neighborhood sociabilities, and educational institutions. The visibility of the characteristics, dynamics and interrelationships of these interworlds, support and demands for recognition based on youth narratives can be a tool for socio-educational intervention that contributes to sustain, strengthen or rebuild the links between young people and schools. |
