From the co-production of biographical narratives with young people from popular sectors who attend various educational and community institutions in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires and the city of Cordoba, Argentina, we address the unique conexion that occurs between their socio-youthful conditions and their institutional experiences, and what elements are put into play to sustain their affiliation to them. Young people build and sustain their existential ecologies and their school trajectories from the mobilization and correlation —sometimes conflictive— of diverse support in three major social interworlds: families, youth-neighborhood sociabilities, and educational institutions. The visibility of the characteristics, dynamics and interrelationships of these interworlds, support and demands for recognition based on youth narratives can be a tool for socio-educational intervention that contributes to sustain, strengthen or rebuild the links between young people and schools. En este artículo presentamos resultados de distintos proyectos de investigación y una tesis de maestría en los que abordamos los vínculos entre las experiencias juveniles de reconocimiento y menosprecio en instituciones educativas y los soportes con los que cuentan los jóvenes para hacer frente a la escolaridad secundaria. A partir de la coproducción de relatos biográficos con jóvenes de sectores populares que asisten a diversas instituciones educativas y comunitarias del Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires y de la ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina, abordamos los entrelazamientos singulares que se producen entre sus condiciones sociojuveniles y sus experiencias institucionales, y qué elementos se ponen en juego para sostener la afiliación a las mismas. Las personas jóvenes construyen y sostienen sus ecologías existenciales y sus trayectorias escolares a partir de la movilización y la vinculación —en ocasiones conflictiva— de diversos soportes en tres grandes intermundos sociales: las familias, las sociabilidades juveniles-barriales y las instituciones educativas.
