The following paper aims to present, identify and analyze three possible and different ways in which this relationship has been defined. It will primarily focus on the theoretical and critical principles, assumptions and implications followed by these statements and by which they articulate their ideas and suggestions.  El espejo suele ser un motivo inmediatamente relacionado con el barroco. Esta asociación, no pocas veces convertida en identificación, trae aparejada, supone o alienta una cantidad nada despreciable de presupuestos, teóricos y críticos, disímiles sobre aquello que hace a la (o a una) “poética barroca” e, incluso, a la concepción misma de barroco. El siguiente trabajo se propone presentar, distinguir y analizar tres posibles itinerarios que esta relación ha trazado atendiendo fundamentalmente a los postulados, hipótesis y consecuencias (teóricas y críticas) que guían sus afirmaciones y articulan sus ideas y propuestas.  O espelho é geralmente um tópico imediatamente relacionada com o barroco. Esta associação, às vezes convertida em identificação, traz, é ou incentiva um número significante de pressupostos, teóricos e críticos, diferente do que faz uma “poética do Barroco”, e até mesmo o próprio conceito do barroco.
