The “routine displacement” between the city (street) and the countryside (countryside) and not just from the countryside to the street has intensified the use of motorcycles by families of rural producers, which has become increasingly present in the landscape of small municipalities with an agricultural economy. The objective of this study was to understand the use of motorcycles by families of rural producers in the Minas Gerais, the second state with the highest number of motorcycles in Brazil. The data used were from the primary data, obtained through the application of 605 questionnaires, in 11 of the 12 mesoregions of Minas General. The results revealed that the motorcycle was characterized as enabling the maintenance of life in the "country". The use of motorcycles was perceived by rural producers as favoring the management of rural property and the development of productive activities on the property. Even through housing on the “street”, the rural property continued to show itself as an integral part of family life, especially for low-tech producers, with low agricultural income, who sought in the “street” the possibility of combining agricultural and cultural activities non-agricultural resources for their social reproduction |

El objetivo de este estudio fue comprender el uso de motocicletas por parte de familias de productores rurales de Minas Gerais, el segundo estado con mayor número de motocicletas en Brasil. Los datos utilizados fueron los datos primarios, obtenidos mediante la aplicación de 605 cuestionarios, en 11 de las 12 mesorregiones de Minas Gerais. Los resultados revelaron que la motocicleta se caracterizó por posibilitar el mantenimiento de la vida en el “país”. El uso de motocicletas fue percibido por los productores rurales como favorable para el manejo de la propiedad rural y el desarrollo de actividades productivas en la propiedad. Incluso a través de la vivienda en la “calle”, la propiedad rural siguió mostrándose como parte integral de la vida familiar, especialmente para los productores agrícolas de baja tecnología y bajos ingresos, que buscaban en la “calle” la posibilidad de combinar la agricultura con la social. actividades actividades culturales recursos no agrícolas para su reproducción social. Os resultados revelaram que a motocicleta foi caracterizada como viabilizando a manutenção da vida na “roça”. O uso da motocicleta foi percebido pelos produtores rurais como favorecendo a gestão da propriedade rural e o desenvolvimento das atividades produtivas na propriedade.
