The study was descriptive in nature, with a qualitative approach, which used documentary analysis as a general method, based on the assessment of reports, opinions, review panels, among other documents, from the review of manuscripts in the corresponding format referred to. to the field of education. As a result of the analysis of the data collected in the selected sample, the main regularities or trends that show the limitations in the writing of the articles were identified and some guidelines or recommendations are needed to improve them. It is considered that the results of the study can be used for didactic purposes, to support the preparation of teachers who research in the area of education, since they will allow focusing on learning actions towards the aspects identified in the study, in which the greatest difficulties were detected. El trabajo muestra un estudio acerca de las principales limitaciones que se presentan en los artículos de investigación en el área de las Ciencias Pedagógicas, con el propósito de contribuir a apoyar la preparación de los autores en la escritura científica en esa rama del saber, en la formación posgraduada. El estudio tuvo un carácter descriptivo, con un enfoque cualitativo, empleó como método general el análisis documental, a partir de la valoración de informes, dictámenes, paneles de revisión, entre otros documentos, procedentes de la revisión de manuscritos en el formato referido correspondientes al ámbito de la educación. Como resultado del análisis de los datos recogidos en la muestra seleccionada, fueron identificadas las principales regularidades o tendencias que evidencian las limitaciones en la escritura de los artículos y se precisan algunas pautas o recomendaciones para perfeccionar los mismos.
