Assuming the need to adjust analysis criteria and analyzed objects, relationships between transgression discourses and musical choices are investigated. It is argued that contextual aspects, such as the songwriter’s life story, his diction, and his project for this song in particular, reverberate in different layers of O quereres, even being perceived in the way which their harmonic progressions are conceived. Thus, distinctions between progressions and successions are debated, and the interpretation of harmonies through the modal bias is problematized, finally signaling that the song requires a dense and attentive listening to its dysphorias. Caetano Veloso y su canción O quereres son revisitados en este estudio desde la perspectiva de la rebelión, propuesta aquí como lente musicológica. Asumiendo la necesidad de ajustar los criterios de análisis y los objetos analizados, se investigan las relaciones entre los discursos de transgresión y las elecciones musicales. Se argumenta que aspectos contextuales como la historia de vida del compositor, su dicción y su proyecto para O quereres, reverberan en diferentes capas de ella, siendo percibidos, incluso, en la forma en que se conciben sus progresiones armónicas. Con eso, se debaten las implicaciones de la distinción entre progresiones y sucesiones, y se problematiza la interpretación de las armonías a través del sesgo modal, señalando, finalmente, que la canción requiere una escucha densa y atenta a sus disforias. Caetano Veloso e sua canção O quereres são revisitados neste estudo sob o prisma da rebeldia, experimentada aqui como lente musicológica. Pressupondo a necessidade de adequação entre critérios de análise e objetos analisados, são investigadas relações entre discursos de transgressão e escolhas musicais. Argumenta-se que aspectos contextuais tais como a história de vida do cancionista, sua dicção e seu projeto para essa canção em especial, reverberam em diferentes camadas de O quereres, sendo percebidas, inclusive, na maneira como são concebidas suas progressões harmônicas.
