Sumario:This article develops the experience of the recently created “Extension Publications Area” at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Buenos Aires. It is approached from the fields of university publishing, critical pedagogies and critical extension, with a qualitative hermeneutical methodology and attending to the potentialities of reflection on academic management practices. The starting point is the search for the democratization of scientific knowledge from its triple aspect of access, production and publishing under the expanded assumption of the “right to university”. A description is made and then a conceptual approach of systematization, towards future lines of organization and editorial policy of the area.
