The analytical emphasis took place in the generational dimension and discusses some meritocratic mechanisms of legitimation that exist in the gaps generationals between researchers. This article presents part of the analysis of the empirical work of the research “Academic freedom and the conditions of production and collective mobilization of knowledge of the researchers ”, with the representation of twelve interviews conducted at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, that belong to the National System of Researchers (NSR). The results indicate, in one hand, that for academics who are starting their careers it is increasingly important to be part of the NSR, due to the need to be able to access to a better working conditions, and in the other hand, that for the academics with more experience the interest is focused on permanence, even when they can access the retirement stage, because they stop having a contractual relationship with the University and therefor, they will lose the distinction of the NRS and the economic stimulus. Este texto surge del interés por conocer las condiciones de las y los investigadores para la producción de conocimiento en sus diversas etapas de desarrollo. Pone énfasis analítico en la dimensión generacional, y somete a discusión algunos mecanismos meritocráticos de legitimación de las brechas existentes entre investigadores pertenecientes a diferentes rangos generacionales. El artículo muestra parte del análisis del trabajo empírico de la investigación “La libertad académica y las condiciones de producción y movilización colectiva de conocimiento de los investigadores”, con la representación de doce entrevistas realizadas en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México a los académicos que pertenecen al Sistema Nacional de Investigadores. Entre los hallazgos encontramos que para los y las académicos que inician sus carreras resulta cada vez más importante formar parte del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI), por la necesidad de poder acceder a mejores condiciones laborales; para los y las académicos con mayor experiencia el interés se centra en la permanencia, incluso cuando pueden acceder a la etapa de jubilación, ya que, al dejar de tener una relación contractual con la Universidad, perderán la distinción del SNI y su estímulo económico. application/pdf http://revistascientificas.filo.uba.ar/index.php/iice/article/view/11266 10.34096/iice.n50.11266 2451-5434 0327-7763 spa Subsecretaría de publicaciones.
