For this purpose, firstly, the comments of the narrative voice are analyzed as intertexts of some documents from the controversy. Then, the analysis is focused on the construction of the parody against cultism, revealed in the speech of the main character, in the interspersed poems and in the staging of an academic satire, related to obtaining the “grado culto” (cultist writer degree). There, the elements most questioned by the detractors of the work of the Cordovan poet are satirized. Through all these elements, it will be intended to establish the place held by the figure of Castillo Solórzano in the context of the Gongorine controversy. El presente trabajo propone la consideración de El culto graduado, novela incluida en Tardes entretenidas, la primera colección publicada por Alonso de Castillo Solórzano, como un texto marginado de la polémica acerca de la nueva poesía, surgida en España con la aparición del Polifemo y las Soledades de Luis de Góngora. Para ello, se analizan, en primer lugar, los comentarios de la voz narradora en tanto intertextos de algunos documentos de la polémica. Luego, el análisis se centra en la construcción de la parodia anticultista, la que se manifiesta en el discurso del protagonista, en los poemas intercalados y en la puesta en escena de un vejamen académico, relacionado con la obtención del grado culto, en el que se satirizan los elementos más cuestionados por los detractores de la obra del poeta cordobés.
