The EB IB is the beginning of the widespread appearance of these lamps in archaeological finds in the southern Levantine sites, at least in what is now Israel and the territories of the Palestinian Authority in light of the first urbanization of the region, and a change in the social and economic organization of these communities. En este artículo se analizarán las primeras lámparas de aceite de arcilla en forma de cuencos halladas en las excavaciones de Ein Zippori, en la Baja Galilea, y se pasará revista de los mismos hallazgos en varios sitios de la Edad del Bronce Antiguo IB en el Levante meridional.
