This new analysis seeks to broaden the conclusion that had been reached in the first instance, according to which social silence predominated around the problem of fumigations in rural educational institutions of the humid pampas. The new analysis, which focuses on rather marginal elements of these field materials, allows us to maintain that it is possible to document both social silence and the meanings and teaching practices that are the object of silencing. These meanings and practices are understood as subjects’ daily resistances to the theme: these resistances condense a critical politicity around the environment that unfolds in rural contexts and take on particular forms. En este trabajo se realiza una relectura de algunos materiales de campo ya analizados previamente en el marco de una investigación sobre docentes rurales y fumigaciones con agroquímicos. A partir de esta nueva lectura se busca ampliar el resultado al que se había arribado en primera instancia y según el cual en las instituciones educativas rurales de la pampa húmeda predomina el silencio social en torno a la problemática de las fumigaciones. El nuevo análisis, enfocado en elementos más bien marginales de estos materiales de campo, permite sostener que es posible documentar no solo el silencio social sino también los sentidos y las prácticas docentes que son objeto del silenciamiento. Se propone entender a estos sentidos y prácticas como resistencias cotidianas de los sujetos en relación con el tema: resistencias que condensan una politicidad crítica en torno a lo ambiental que se despliega en los contextos rurales asumiendo formas particulares. Neste trabalho se faz uma releitura de alguns materiais de campo já analisados numa pesquisa anterior sobre educadores rurais e fumigações com agroquímicos. Partindo dessa nova leitura procura-se ampliar o resultado obtido inicialmente, segundo o qual se comprova que nas instituições educativas rurais do Pampa Úmido da Argentina predomina um silêncio social com relação a problemática das fumigações. Uma nova análise, focada em elementos secundários desses materiais do campo, permite sustentar que é possível documentar não só o silêncio social, senão também os sentidos e as práticas docentes que são objeto desse silêncio.
