This article investigates the changes in academic and journalistic approaches to funk carioca in the course of the first three decades of bibliographic productions on this musical genre (1980-2000). The article is divided into three sections that correspond to the three decades analyzed, which makes it possible to examine problems inherent to the approach of funk carioca as a musical genre arising from a specific music scene, the funk dance and the proposition of its historiography. The work methodology started from exploratory bibliographic research in specific databases such as the Sucupira Platform in order to compose the first phase, literature review, doctoral research on the creative processes of a set of subjects that made up the first decade of development of the project. funk carioca. The results of this article point to the consolidation of a specific field of studies about funk carioca and the expansion of its scope from a local level (Rio de Janeiro) to a national level (Brazil). |

El artículo se divide en tres apartados que corresponden a las tres décadas analizadas, lo que permite examinar problemas inherentes a la aproximación del funk carioca como género musical surgido de una determinada escena musical, el baile funk y la proposición de su historiografía. La metodología de trabajo partió de la investigación bibliográfica exploratoria en bases de datos específicas como la Plataforma Sucupira para componer la primera fase, revisión de literatura, investigación doctoral sobre los procesos creativos de un conjunto de temas que conformaron la primera década de desarrollo del proyecto. funk carioca. Los resultados de este artículo apuntan a la consolidación de un campo específico de estudios sobre el funk carioca y la expansión de su alcance de un nivel local (Río de Janeiro) a un nivel nacional (Brasil). O artigo está dividido em três seções que correspondem às três décadas analisadas, o que possibilita o exame de problemas inerentes à abordagem do funk carioca como um gênero musical oriundo de uma cena musical específica, o baile funk e a proposição de sua historiografia. A metodologia de trabalho partiu de pesquisa bibliográfica exploratória em bancos de dados específicos como a Plataforma Sucupira a fim de compor a primeira fase, revisão de literatura, de pesquisa doutoral sobre os processos criativos de um conjunto de sujeitos que compuseram a primeira década de desenvolvimento do funk carioca.
