Their appearance will cause an adaptation, not only of public employees, but of the whole society; but, also presents us with enormous challenges, especially for its regulation.  This article seeks to refer to the main characteristics, advantages and virtues of these technologies, in order to encourage their implementation, and thus not be left out of this new revolution. La llegada del big data y open data a la administración pública, ha significado la ruptura del modelo tradicional y ha propiciado una innovación radical de la misma, de allí que sean calificadas como tecnologías disruptivas. Su aparición trae consigo una adaptación, no solo de los funcionarios administrativos, sino de toda la sociedad; pero, también nos presenta enormes retos, sobre todo para su regulación.
