The target was to evaluate the thermal and energetic behavior, the degree of well-being of the users and the saving of energy produced on having materialized the walls that conforming the envelope of the houses with timber sandwich panels of forests cultivated with sustainable management in the Argentine northeast, in comparison with houses of conventional design and technology of bricks, in the cities of Corrientes and Resistencia, and also the incidence of such variables as the orientation, the form and the emplacement in the energy efficiency, and in the environmental efficiency of the construction. There tried to be analyzed the way in which the changes in the design of the houses’envelope, generate important differences in the final energy consumption of the houses, and to determine what are the strategies of improvement of the variables considered in the design of houses located in a warm - humid zone. Lower consumptions of electricity registered when the houses of traditional walls of bricks were replacing these walls by timber sandwich panels proposed. Se expone la evaluación de los requerimientos energéticos para el acondicionamiento electromecánico interior de viviendas de interés social, considerando el comportamiento térmico de diez tipologías de viviendas de operatorias tanto estatales como privadas, modelizado y simulado informáticamente. El objetivo fue evaluar el comportamiento termoenergético, el grado de bienestar de los usuarios y el ahorro de energía producido al materializar la envolvente mediante panelería de madera de bosques cultivados con manejo sustentable del nordeste argentino, con respecto a viviendas de diseño y tecnología convencional de mampuestos en las localidades de Corrientes y Resistencia, además de la incidencia de variables tales como la orientación, la forma y el emplazamiento en la eficiencia energética, y por ende en la eficiencia ambiental de la construcción. Se pretendió analizar la manera en que las modificaciones en el diseño de la envolvente generan importantes diferencias en el consumo energético final de la vivienda y determinar cuáles son las estrategias de optimización de las variables consideradas en el diseño de viviendas ubicadas en una zona bioambiental cálida húmeda. Se registraron consumos de electricidad menores cuando las viviendas de mampostería tradicional reemplazaban estos cerramientos por la panelería de madera tipo sandwich propuesta.
