Sumario:This article is intended to give an accountfor a research work carried out within the frameworkof the 2014 Call of Instituto Nacional de FormaciónDocente (the Argentine Institute for Teacher Training).It addresses both the devices used at Instituto Superiorde Profesorado Nr. 6 (Higher institute for teacher educationTeachers - ISP Nr. 6, for its Spanish Initials) andpolitical praxis of teachers. This research was postulatedwithin an institutional context in which spaces for trainingand political action and the opportunities to systematicallyproblematize and thematize those issues werescarce and in which the following questions-problemsbecame relevant: Which are the ISP Nr. 6 devices thatteachers consider as already working in their politicalpraxis at that institute? Which characteristics of thedevices do they recognize? How do teachers assessthose devices? Paulo Freire's work was selected as atheoretical framework; and contributions from InstitutionalAnalysis, Social Psychology, and FunctionalSystemic Linguistics were gathered. It was descriptiveresearch, characterized by qualitative data collectionand analysis methods and tools. The obtained resultsshow that the teachers of the aforementioned instituterecognize several political training and action devicesand that the latter are assigned different features andvalues by each teacher.
