Sumario:In the last decades, soybean production has become the main agricultural activity in Paraguay. This article describes the evolution of the productive process of such commodity in that country, identifying relevant actors (rural producers and companies) and depicting their market power. Information have been collected from a literature review, national surveys, reports from production companies, visits to the main Paraguayan agricultural fairsand interview with key actors. Results indicate the presence of a process of concentration and transnationalization of Paraguayan producers and companies within the soybean market.
