Information have been collected from a literature review, national surveys, reports from production companies, visits to the main Paraguayan agricultural fairsand interview with key actors. Results indicate the presence of a process of concentration and transnationalization of Paraguayan producers and companies within the soybean market. Nas últimas décadas, a produção de soja se tornoua principal atividade agrícola no Paraguai. Este artigodescreve a expansão desta commodity no país, identificando os principais atores envolvidos nesta cadeia produtiva (produtores rurais e empresas) e seu poder de mercado. Para tanto, realizou–serevisão da literatura acadêmica, levantamento de dados secundários, consulta nos relatórios das empresas do setor, visitas às principais feiras agropecuárias do país e entrevista comatores–chaves. Os resultados apontam que o mercado da soja no Paraguai apresenta um movimento conjunto de concentração e transnacionalização dos produtores e das empresas.
