First, we study the left winged parties before the Coup d'Etat of July 1936. Second the key conflicts of May 1937 And the Coup of Casado in March 1939 are studied. Finally, a study of current bibliography has been made. Uno de los temas que más debate historiográfico ha generado ha sido el de las divergencias que surgieron en el interior del bando republicano durante la Guerra Civil. Estas diferencias de carácter organizativo e ideológico generaron unos enfrentamientos que en muchas ocasiones tuvieron una carga violenta y víctimas por distintas partes. En el presente artículo se intentan analizar las raíces de ese conflicto partiendo de la situación de la izquierda política antes del golpe de Estado del 18 de julio de 1936. Posteriormente se analizarán de forma sucinta dos episodios claves en estos conflictos: los sucesos de mayo de 1937 y el golpe de Casado de marzo de 1939. Para terminar, se hará una aproximación al estado de la cuestión historiográfica sobre estos conflictos.
