It is even seen as a process that is present from the beginning, when a «theme» is «chosen», material is accumulated, a corpus is formed, pieces are eliminated, and new ones are added, until the collected material reaches its final form. This process has been compared to the assembly of a collection. However, the ideas of an editing table or a collection are in jeopardy if we want to apply them to the study of digital poetry. How can we conceive of a work table if there are no books? Is it appropriate to compare the researcher to a collector? This article problematizes the ideas of collection and editing table as metaphors for the study and assembly of a corpus of digital literature.   Cineastas como Vertov y Kuleshov usaron la imagen de la escritura para delimitar su percepción acerca de la práctica del montaje. Desde los estudios literarios es posible pensar, inversamente, a la escritura como montaje de elementos recogidos durante un proceso de búsqueda, de registro, de investigación previa. Incluso como un proceso que está presente desde el inicio, cuando se «elige» un «tema», se acumula material al respecto, se forma un corpus, se eliminan piezas, ingresan nuevas, hasta que el material recogido alcanza su forma definitiva. Se ha comparado este proceso con el armado de una colección. Sin embargo, las ideas de mesa de montaje o de colección entran en crisis si queremos aplicarlas al estudio de la poesía digital. ¿Cómo pensar una mesa de trabajo si no hay libros? ¿Es adecuado comparar al investigador con un coleccionista? En este artículo se problematizan las ideas de colección y mesa de montaje como metáforas para el estudio y armado de un corpus de literatura digital.
