Findings reveal a fragmented police training on gender and diversity issues, shaped by broader discriminatory cultural patterns that go beyond institutional boundaries. The absence of disaggregated data and the prevalence of underreporting contribute to a structure of invisibility that hinders effective state intervention and exposes the gap between official discourses and the lived experiences of trans people. El trabajo presenta un avance de investigación que aborda las formas de violencia institucional ejercidas por fuerzas policiales hacia personas trans en la provincia de Neuquén entre 2012 y 2020, a través de entrevistas en profundidad con miembros de la comunidad trans y efectivos policiales, junto con un análisis documental de normativas, estadísticas y programas de formación institucional. Estos advierten una formación policial fragmentaria en torno a género y diversidad, sostenida por patrones culturales discriminatorios que exceden lo institucional.
