Fully aligned with these principles, the association has been modernized through the incorporation of technology, which was used not only as a tool for communication and work but also as a subject of study, to analyze its use in relation to culture. Looking towards the future, the association has also generously welcomed young researchers. These innovations were reflected in the development of the congress, which brought together over 1,400 researchers from 40 countries. El congreso de la Asociación Internacional de Literatura Comparada (AILC) realizado en Corea fue el momento privilegiado para conmemorar los setenta años de trabajos de investigación que se vienen desarrollando con incuestionable rigor científico y profundo compromiso con el diálogo y aprecio por la diversidad. En total sintonía con esas premisas, la asociación se ha modernizado con la incorporación de tecnología que fue utilizada no solamente como herramienta de comunicación y trabajo sino también como temática, para analizar su uso en relación con la cultura. También, con miras hacia el futuro, la asociación ha incorporado generosamente a jóvenes investigadores. Estas innovaciones se han reflejado en el desarrollo del congreso en el que participaron más de 1400 investigadores de 40 países.
