Thus, the main objective of this research is to understand the process of changes related to agricultural entrepreneurs, linked to the expansion of rainfed agriculture in Young-Uruguay between 2002 and 2019. Data from interviews conducted with agricultural entrepreneurs carried out in the area between 2017 and 2019 are taken as a corpus of analysis. It is concluded that the characteristics of the agribusiness model permeated the entrepreneurs who remained in the area producing, although this model was not adopted in the same way by the different enterprises analyzed. En Uruguay, a comienzos del siglo XXI, se generaron cambios en la agricultura del país, con la llegada del modelo del agronegocio impulsado por el cultivo de soja, lo que generó cambios en los empresarios agrícolas y en su entorno social. Es así que esta investigación tiene como principal objetivo comprender el proceso de cambios referidos a los empresarios del agro, vinculados a la expansión de la agricultura de secano en Young-Uruguay entre 2002 y 2019. Se toman como corpus de análisis los datos de entrevistas a empresarios del agro realizadas en la zona entre 2017 y 2019. Se concluye que las características del modelo del agronegocio permearon en los empresarios que quedaron en la zona produciendo, aunque este modelo no fue adoptado de igual manera por los diferentes empresarios analizados.
