Sumario:The extracurricular training activity in teaching is an opportunity that the FBCB-UNL offers its students to increase their skills through their participation in teaching activities. When it is carried out within the framework of a laboratory practical work, it allows for the creation of spaces for reflection in relation to the experience that is carried out. The study of chemical kinetics appears to be a complex topic for students of the Bachelor in Nutrition (BN). Thus, the aim was to generate new teaching proposals to motivate and strengthen its learning using a compound with nutritional value, vitamin C.Based on the experimental activities carried out, a new laboratory practical work was developed for the Physical Chemistry course, concerning the oxidation kinetics of vitamin C.This article not only refers to the experimental activities carried out in a chemistry laboratory but also to the perceptions expressed by a BN student. The laboratory as an academic place becomes a space where teachers and students in a teaching role can rethink together novel alternatives to motivate the learning of elusive topics by linking new content with previous knowledge.
