It is interesting to highlight an original concept of travel in Yourcenar that combines with her philosophy of life and to relate it to some of her works, which gives us one of the keys to her complex personality and her main characters. And to complement it with my own experience of travel. La relación de Yourcenar con el viaje aparece claramente en el itinerario de su vida reconstituido minuciosamente en biografías recientes, por su epistolario abundante que descubrimos de modo póstumo en el cual comenta detenidamente sus proyectos de viajes, sus experiencias sucesivas y las lecciones que saca de ellas. Nos parece interesante destacar un concepto original del viaje en Yourcenar que se armoniza con su filosofía de la vida y de relacionarla con unas obras suyas, lo que nos da una de las claves de su personalidad compleja y de sus personajes principales.
