description In this paper we propose to review some of the national commemorations thatbelong to the nineteenth century. Based on the experience of teaching a degree subject in the History Professorate of the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, we intend to analyse the link between the historical account and the school act. We believe that the event can be resignified as a moment of visibility of relegated actors, phenomena and concepts. Based on this assumption, we aim to analyze three key aspects that are developed in the sections of this paper. First, we examine how certain ephemeris are established and the role of historians in this process. Then, we critically evaluate both the anniversaries and the educational purpose of the teaching of history in secondary education. Finally, through concrete cases, we observe how the commemorations of these dates can offer new perspectives and meanings.

En este trabajo proponemos revisar algunas de las conmemoraciones patrias de las efemérides del siglo XIX. A partir de la experiencia del dictado de una materia de grado en el Profesorado de Historia de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, buscamos analizar el vínculo entre el relato histórico y el acto escolar. Consideramos que la efeméride puede ser resignificada como momento de visibilización de actores, fenómenos y conceptos relegados. A partir de este supuesto, nuestro objetivo es analizar tres aspectos clave que se desarrollan en las secciones de este trabajo. Primero, examinamos cómo se establecen ciertas efemérides y el papel de los historiadores en este proceso. Luego, evaluamos críticamente tanto las efemérides como el propósito educativo de la enseñanza de la historia en la educación secundaria. Finalmente, a través de casos concretos, observamos cómo las conmemoraciones de estas fechas pueden ofrecer nuevas perspectivas y significados.
