Sumario:The objective of this research is to understand, from the story of the practices of rural natural sciences teachers, how the approach to content and perspectives of teaching in this context is determined. Interviews are carried out with 15 natural sciences teachers at the secondary level, active in the educational system, in rural schools or who have had experience in this modality in the province of Entre Ríos. The story of eight teachers is obtained that would show a link with the rural context in their practices, with the remaining seven facing possible decontextualized practices. School projects such as school gardens are established and a motivation for learning is evident due to the contextualization of teaching, according to the teachers' accounts. Possible relationships emerge between the use of secondary school manuals and bibliographic texts in classes and the difficulty in analyzing the contents based on the context and teaching in rural areas. Finally, the lack of initial and in-service teacher training is referred to to face the particularities in the teaching of natural sciences in rural areas.
