The paper is based on a comparative analysis of four cases of provincial state-owned enterprise, using primary and secondary sources. Among other aspects, it is highlighted that the orientation of the companies analyzed includes a relevant presence of their public mission, although coexisting with varying degrees of commercial objectives. Likewise, the link with the owner state is mostly hierarchical, without ignoring different levels of managerial autonomy. Finally, the predominant relations with the national state are generally characterized by cooperation, usually in terms of the implementation of public policies, which reinforces the centrality of the companies' public mission. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar las formas que adopta la hibridez organizacional en las empresas públicas subnacionales en Argentina —específicamente, en las de nivel provincial—; así como las características de las relaciones con el Estado-propietario y con el Estado nacional, como base del estudio de su gobernanza interjurisdiccional. El trabajo se apoya en el análisis comparativo de cuatro casos de empresas públicas provinciales, a partir de fuentes primarias y secundarias. Entre otros aspectos, se destaca que la orientación de las empresas analizadas incluye una presencia relevante de su misión pública, aunque en coexistencia, en distintos grados, de objetivos comerciales. Asimismo, el vínculo con el Estado-propietario es mayormente de tipo jerárquico, sin desconocer diferentes niveles de autonomía gerencial. Finalmente, las relaciones predominantes con el Estado nacional se caracterizan, por lo general, por la cooperación, comúnmente en función a la implementación de políticas públicas en un contexto interjurisdiccional, lo que refuerza la centralidad de la misión pública de las empresas analizadas.
