In this framework, this work aimed to rescue the processes of consensus and conflict at the time of chiselling social policies within the Legislature, aiming to recover the voices of political actors to account for the political, social and economic visions that were maintained by the different political forces, the encounters and disagreements about the state role and the incidence of the trajectories and knowledge of some specific figures in their design. Despite the postwar reformist consensus, politicians engaged in disputes over the limits of state penetration and the foundations of representative, republican, and federal rule. El proceso de construcción de políticas sociales no constituyó una nota exclusiva de Mendoza, sino que guarda relación con los avatares nacionales e internacionales, aunque recibió durante los tiempos lencinistas un empuje decisivo posicionándola como pionera en materia social. En este marco, este trabajo se propuso rescatar los procesos de consenso y conflicto al momento de cincelar las políticas sociales en el seno de la Legislatura, apuntando a recuperar las voces de los actores políticos para dar cuenta de las visiones políticas, sociales y económicas que mantuvieron las distintas fuerzas políticas, de los encuentros y desencuentros frente al rol estatal y de la incidencia de las trayectorias y saberes de algunas figuras concretas en el diseño de las mismas. A pesar del consenso reformista de posguerra, los políticos entablaron disputas en torno a los límites de la penetración estatal y los fundamentos del régimen representativo, republicano y federal.
