description Considering the necessary to find new tools and methods for public policies and the potential of game theory, was development a study of the applicability of game theory in management and specifically in public policy decisions in public administration. The bibliographic review in Scopus, visualized a growth in the interest of the study in game theory, an aspect that contrasts with the limited number of publications of the study theme. In the qualitative review, was observed a variety of aspects addressed through dissimilar analytical resources of game theory in multiple areas of Public Administration. The methodology was based on Scopus bibliometric resources and text mining from. "Vosviewer" program.  The qualitative part was analized using networks and analysis of terms in the "Atlas ti" program. The two predominant theoretical methods were the analytical-synthetic and the inductive-deductive. As result was a social reality, based in "epoch change theory", with a high diversification and complexity, paradoxically, with more interconnected individuals, but less collaborative for whom the traditional techniques, concepts and way of managing do not respond effectively in solving the problem of the construction of public policies. In this context, possible areas were exposed for the application of the theory of cooperative, non-cooperative, constant-sum and especially zero-sum games, Nash equilibrium, dominant strategies, repeated and sequential games. Eight relevant articles were reviewed addressing these applications in different fields.

In this context, possible areas were exposed for the application of the theory of cooperative, non-cooperative, constant-sum and especially zero-sum games, Nash equilibrium, dominant strategies, repeated and sequential games. Eight relevant articles were reviewed addressing these applications in different fields.
