| Sumario: | To evaluate the antioxidant and polyphenolic behavior of the species (Mansoa alliacea L) commonly known as sacha ajo, which is a bush of the Amazonian region that has medicinal uses by the population, in our research the Folin-Ciocalteau method was applied and total antioxidant activity according to FRAP (Ferric ion reducing antioxidant Power) and ABTS (2,2-Azinobis (3-ethylbenzthiazolin) -6-sulfonic acid). The method of extraction of essential oils used for this investigation was steam distillation, using reflux with a Clevenger trap to separate oils lighter than water. The yield for each of the essential oils was determined quantitatively from the wet and dry weight of the plant. A simplex-lattice design was used to determine the measuring points of antioxidant activity (proportions of essential oils). It was found that the wet leaf in relation to the dry generates more components in this plant species, after generating statistical analysis we define that there is a dispersion among the analysis factors, generating significant differences. |
