For this reason, in this work I will try to provide an approach to this topic in a particular culture such as the Japanese one. Thus, I will consider the trip as one of the obturator points in the Japanese cosmogonic myths that are compiled in the Kōjiki and the Nihonshoki. Focused on the first mythological cycle of Yamato, starring the primordial couple Izanagi-Izanami, I will reveal the displacement under two aspects: the journey-creator-of-life and the journey-generator-of-death. In both types of trips, the concept of beauty will be the connecting and triggering link. El viaje, en tanto desplazamiento espacial, temporal o mental, ha sido un tópico literario en la narrativa universal. Estudiado en diversas épocas, la “literatura de viajes” ha ido mutando hasta intentar constituirse en un subgénero literario tanto en la literatura europea como en la americana, pero aún es ignorado el tratamiento de este tópico en numerosas literaturas asiáticas. Por tal motivo, en este trabajo trataremos de aportar una aproximación sobre este tópico en una particular cultura como lo es la japonesa. Así pues, plantearemos el viaje como uno de los puntos obturadores en los mitos cosmogónicos japoneses que se encuentran recopilados en el Kōjiki y en el Nihonshoki. Focalizados en el primer ciclo mitológico de Yamato, protagonizado por la pareja primordial Izanagi-Izanami, develaremos el desplazamiento bajo dos aspectos: el viaje-creador-de-vida y el viaje-generador-de-muerte. En ambos tipos de viajes será el concepto de belleza el eslabón conector y detonante de los mismos.
