The conceptual development of the LSF considers that human language is organized from three metafunctions. These metafunctions are an abstraction to explain the universal nature of language and are the following: the ideative metafunction that is performed in the lexicon-grammar of a language through the system of Transitivity, the interpersonal metafunction that is performed in the lexico-grammar to through the mode / remainder system and the textual metafunction that is carried out in the Lexico-grammar through the theme-rema system. From this uninterrupted development, the LSF has today become a powerful theoretical framework for the analysis of various discursive genres. This project is organized through three paths, the first two respond to a diachronic dimension of the texts and discourses, the third focuses on the synchronic dimensión. En el campo de las humanidades y las ciencias sociales se ha fortalecido, desde la última mitad del siglo XX, la dimensión constitutiva del lenguaje en la relación hombre-mundo, así como el reconocimiento del carácter simbólicamente mediado de la conciencia, lo cual ha permitido reformular desde diversas posiciones teóricas, problemáticas clásicas referidas a las relaciones entre la estructura social, el contexto cultural y los discursos sociales que las atraviesan. El desarrollo conceptual de la LSF considera que el lenguaje humano está organizado a partir de tres metafunciones. Estas metafunciones son una abstracción para explicar la naturaleza universal del lenguaje y son las siguientes: la metafunción ideativa que se realiza en la léxico-gramática de una lengua a través del sistema de Transitividad, la metafunción interpersonal que se realiza en la léxico-gramática a través del sistema de modo/resto y la metafunción textual que se realiza en la Léxico-gramática a través del sistema de tema-rema. A partir de este desarrollo ininterrumpido, la LSF se ha convertido hoy en un potente marco teórico para el análisis de diversos géneros discursivos. Este proyecto está organizado a través de tres trayectos, los dos primeros responden a una dimensión diacrónica de los textos y discursos, el tercero se centra en la dimensión sincrónica.
