From semi-structured interviews a diagnosis is made on different socio-economic aspects of the sector, operation of cooperative organizations and their link with each other and with the State. Depending on the survey carried out, the critical, heterogeneous and unequal aspects within the cooperative sector stand out and, despite the critical context, the moderate optimism in future prospects. El artículo plantea una reflexión sobre el estado de situación frente al COVID-19 de las cooperativas de trabajo del Departamento La Capital de la Provincia de Santa Fe. A partir de entrevistas semiestructuradas se realiza un diagnóstico sobre diferentes aspectos socio-económicos del sector, funcionamiento de las organizaciones cooperativas y su vínculo entre sí y con el Estado. En función del relevamiento realizado se destacan los aspectos críticos, heterogéneos y desiguales al interior del sector cooperativo y, pese al crítico contexto, el moderado optimismo en las perspectivas futuras.
