The linyera perceives the suspicious gaze of those who isolate him and lead him to live in solitude. At the same time, a language loaded with synesthesia frames an experience marked by loss (Didi-Huberman, 2017) and the need to survive. During his tour, Tolosa perceives different sensations that mark a departure from what he needs. So, distancing (Shklovski, 2016) also operates through the singularization of certain elements of daily life detailed as if they were experienced for the first time to increase the duration of perception; that is, the estrangement, derived from certain narrative procedures, that goes beyond appearances to understand the reality represented in a more profound way (Ginzburg, 2000). Finally, we will observe that the vagabond is not ashamed of his condition, but rather indicates a distance with respect to «common people» and those lumpenes protagonists (Sebreli, 2003) of other realistic novels that presented them from the outside, as exotic or strange objects. En este trabajo, analizaremos la construcción de la subjetividad marginal del protagonista de la novela Un horizonte de cemento (1940), de Bernardo Kordon, quien cuenta sus experiencias en el Buenos Aires de la Década Infame. El linyera percibe la mirada recelosa de aquellos que lo aíslan y lo llevan a vivir en soledad. Al mismo tiempo, un lenguaje cargado de sinestesias enmarca una experiencia marcada por la pérdida (Didi-Huberman, 2017) y la necesidad de sobrevivir. Durante su recorrido, Tolosa percibe sensaciones diferentes que marcan un alejamiento de lo que necesita. Entonces, el distanciamiento (Shklovski, 2016) opera también a través de la singularización de ciertos elementos de la vida cotidiana detallados como si se experimentaran por primera vez para aumentar la duración de la percepción; es decir, el extrañamiento, derivado de determinados procedimientos narrativos, que va más allá de las apariencias para comprender la realidad representada de manera más profunda (Ginzburg, 2000). Finalmente, observaremos que el vagabundo no se avergüenza de su condición, sino que señala una distancia respecto de la «gente común» y de aquellos protagonistas lúmpenes (Sebreli, 2003) de otras novelas realistas que los presentaban desde afuera, como objetos exóticos o extraños.
