The degradation of Nature and the regeneration of its life cycles are addressed. In the literary work, the difficult task is faced by a man alone; while in the sentence the means are managed from the State. Thus, the argument lines of the ruling are explored and reflected in the light of the narrative on intergenerational equity and the rights of nature; forming a lighter vehicle of legal content to reach more people in society. En este trabajo se analizan: una obra literaria, «El hombre que plantaba árboles» de Jean Giono (1954); y la sentencia de la Corte Suprema de Justicia de Colombia (2018), dictada con motivo de la deforestación de la Amazonía. Se abordan, la degradación de la Naturaleza y la regeneración de sus ciclos vitales. En la obra literaria, la difícil tarea es afrontada por un hombre en solitario; mientras que en la sentencia los medios se gestionan desde el Estado. Así, se exploran las líneas argumentales del fallo y se reflexiona a la luz de la narración sobre la equidad intergeneracional y los derechos de la naturaleza; conformando un vehículo más ligero de los contenidos jurídicos para llegar a más personas en la sociedad.
