Basados en la clasificación aspectual de Vendler (1967) y de Pustejovsky (1995), se ofrece una descripción aspectual de la semi-cópula y se demuestra que puede aparecer tanto en construcciones estativas como en transicionales. en ambos casos, puede aparecer el clítico se, el cual se relaciona con la noción de causa interna (Levin y Rappaport Hovav 1995). Para el análisis se recurre a la propuesta de Travis (2005), que postula la articulación de las vPs. este trabajo se inscribe en las propuestas sintactistas debido a que desde una perspectiva lexicalista, se perdería la posibilidad de capturar y explicar generalizaciones en términos de la estructura sintáctica, en especial, de la estructura funcional/eventiva como responsable de la estructura temática.<br /><br />Abstract<br /><br />In this research work different thematic and aspectual properties of the semi-copula quedar and quedarse are analysed. It is shown that they are not two different and separate lexical items but only one root whose syntactic context imposes thematic and eventive structures. Using Vendler´s (1967) and Pustejovsky´s (1995) aspectual classification of predicates, a description is given of the aspectual possibilities of the semi-copula showing that it can appear both in locative and in transitional structures. The clitic se can appear in both cases, the claim being that it is related to the notion of internal cause (Levin y Rappaport Hovav 1995). as regards the analysis, Travis´s proposal (2005) of articulated vPs has been used.
