The approach aims to go beyond the mere instrumental application of TIC, as well as reproductive and memorizing approaches in the teaching and learning of History, promoting instead the development of historical thinking. El trabajo presenta una serie de insumos para diseñar propuestas educativas que incorporen la creación de videojuegos históricos, haciendo uso de la plataforma digital RPG Playground, con el fin de generar experiencias educativas significativas en el actual contexto digital. El abordaje se propone ir más allá de la mera aplicación instrumental de las TIC así como los enfoques reproductivos y memorísticos en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de la Historia, promoviendo en su lugar el desarrollo del pensamiento histórico. O trabalho apresenta uma série de instruções para projetar propostas educativas que incorporam a criação de videogames históricos, fazendo uso da plataforma digital RPG Playground, com o fim de gerar experiências educativas significativas no contexto digital atual. A abordagem é proposta mais além da mera aplicação instrumental das TIC, assim como as abordagens reprodutivas e memorísticas na aprendizagem e na aprendizagem da História, promovendo em seu lugar o desenvolvimento do pensamento histórico.
