The initial intention was that only degree theses would be taken into account, postgraduate theses and books that address concepts and methodologies linked to the topic and materials that describe the implementation of experiences at the secondary, preparatory, higher and university levels. However, the notable scarcity of materials that have scientific relevance forced us to reformulate the proposal and focus on articles published in academic journals between 2017 and 2021. The study allowed us to recognize that all the experiences analyzed have in common that they have used transmedia narrative to address topics that are neither communicational nor journalistic, but rather historical, political, language and literature. El artículo es el resultado de un proyecto de investigación que analiza la producción bibliográfica académica relacionada con el empleo de la narrativa transmedia en educación, en México y en Argentina desde 2017 a 2021. La pretensión inicial fue que sólo se tendrían en cuenta tesinas de grado, tesis de posgrado y libros que aborden conceptos y metodologías ligadas a la temática y materiales que describan la puesta en marcha de experiencias en el nivel secundario, preparatoria, superior y universitario. Sin embargo, la notable escasez de materiales que posean una relevancia científica obligó a reformular la propuesta y detenernos también en artículos publicados en revistas académicas entre 2017 y 2021. El estudio permitió reconocer que todas experiencias analizadas tienen en común que han utilizado la narrativa transmedia para abordar temáticas que no son ni comunicacionales ni periodísticas, sino más bien históricas, políticas, de idiomas y de literatura.
