At the dawn of the 21st century, protests and collective disputes over land use emerged in the province of Córdoba, specifically concerning exploitation of natural resources in a broad sense. In this context, this paper aims to present the preliminary results of the identification and characterization of conflicts related to the use and appropriation of natural resources in Córdoba province over the last 20 years.
We understand these disputes as opportunities to visualize the often contentious (though sometimes solidaristic) encounters between diverse territorialities that express different ways of constructing relationships (both material and symbolic) with and through the territory.
To fulfill this objective, a mixed methods study was conducted, combining qualitative and quantitative techniques. Based on statistical analysis, various variables were examined to classify the data, including location, type of conflict, cause, actors involved, dates, legal proceedings, and outcomes. The paper also seeks to provide an initial account of the spatial dimensions of these conflicts, which were analyzed through thematic mapping. As a result, five main types of conflicts were identified in Córdoba province: mining activity, agricultural activity, forestry activity, road infrastructure, and land ownership. Furthermore, an incipient regionalisation of disputes associated with natural resource use in the province was observed.
In order to fulfill the proposed objective, in methodological terms, a mixed study was carried out, combining qualitative and quantitative techniques. Based on statistical analysis, different variables were examined to classify the data; these included location, type of conflict, cause of origin, actors involved, date, judicialization, and results. Although focused on the characterization of Cordoba's characterization, the work also attempts to account initially for the spatiality these conflicts produce. For this purpose, thematic cartography was elaborated to make this spatiality visible.

En los albores del siglo XXI se incrementaron las protestas y disputas colectivas asociadas a los usos del territorio en la provincia de Córdoba, específicamente en torno a la explotación de recursos naturales en sentido amplio. En tal escenario, en este trabajo pretendemos exponer los resultados preliminares de la identificación y caracterización de los conflictos vinculados al uso y apropiación de recursos naturales que acontecen en la provincia de Córdoba en los últimos 20 años. Entendemos que estas disputas permiten visualizar el encuentro conflictivo (aunque en ocasiones también solidario) de diversas territorialidades que expresan distintas formas de construir relaciones (materiales y simbólicas) con y desde el territorio. Para cumplir el objetivo propuesto, en términos metodológicos se realizó un estudio de carácter mixto, combinando técnicas cualitativas y cuantitativas. A partir del análisis estadístico, se examinaron diferentes variables con el fin de clasificar los datos, entre ellas: localización, tipo de conflicto, causa de origen, actores involucrados, fecha, judicialización y resultados. El trabajo también intenta dar cuenta, de manera inicial, de la espacialidad que los conflictos producen, para lo cual se elaboró cartografía temática. Finalmente, como resultado del análisis realizado, en la provincia de Córdoba se identificaron cinco tipos de conflictos vinculados a: la actividad minera, la actividad agrícola, la actividad forestal, la infraestructura vial y la propiedad de la tierra.
