Sumario:In the present work, through a qualitative study, the process of spectacularization of festive celebrations is investigated, paying special attention to the case of the national holidays that take place in northern Patagonia, Argentina. To do this, we analyze, at first, how the configuration of intervention devices on the festive and the organization of its times occurs, within the framework of a process that we call coloniality of temporality. Then, it addresses how the popular meanings for the development of these festivals are incorporated into the festive. For this task, an analysis is carried out of a series of regulatory documents that regulate official holidays and media documents on the coverage of different celebrations that take place in the territory of northern Patagonia.
