Sumario:The article presents an analysis of the narratives of social sciences and history books and manuals edited and reedited during the last Argentine civic-military dictatorship, referring to Indigenous Peoples and their relationship with the stories of the 'desert' conquest and other themes of the Mapuche Tehuelche People. The starting point will be to work with the narratives from books and manuals, interviews, magazines, and study period objects, and finally with social media, which were used to remember, distort, and forget Indigenous peoples, thus enabling linking history with the present and reinforcing certain stereotypes that led to ethnic origin discrimination.
