This interpretation focuses on the multiple displays of support for the landing on the islands by various social actors, which would have produced a total and seamless reunion between society and the regime. In this perspective, the Malvinas war appears as a disruptive moment, which differs from the increase in protest before the war and the social explosion after the defeat. The Malvinas war, then, appears disassociated from the Transition to democracy. The work seeks to reintegrate the Malvinas war into its conjuncture and think about the continuities of the Malvinas moment with the pre-war period, specifically regarding the political dimension. To do this, it reduces the scale of observation to the local level and focuses on the practices and constructions of meaning deployed by members of the Political Youth of Neuquén, a group formed during the war by militants from the main parties in the province. The article historicizes the configuration of the multiparty youth organization from the sociocultural perspective of the war, based on the analysis of regional periodical press, intraparty sources and oral testimonies. El artículo busca repensar una imagen muy difundida y cristalizada, que incluso ha permeado nuestra historiografía: aquella que concibe a la guerra de Malvinas como un momento de total excepcionalidad en las relaciones entre la sociedad civil y la última dictadura militar. Esa interpretación se centra en las múltiples muestras de apoyo al desembarco en las islas por parte de diversos actores sociales, lo que habría producido un reencuentro total y sin fisuras entre la sociedad y el régimen. En esta mirada, la guerra de Malvinas aparece como un momento disruptivo, que se diferencia del incremento de la protesta antes de la guerra y de la explosión social tras la derrota. La guerra de Malvinas, entonces, aparece disociada de la Transición democrática. El trabajo procura reintegrar la guerra de Malvinas a su coyuntura y pensar las continuidades del momento Malvinas con el periodo de preguerra, específicamente en lo que hace a la dimensión política. Para ello reduce la escala de observación al nivel local y focaliza en las prácticas y construcciones de sentido desplegadas por integrantes de las Juventudes Políticas de Neuquén, una agrupación conformada durante el conflicto bélico por militantes de los principales partidos de la provincia. El artículo historiza la configuración de la organización juvenil multipartidaria desde la perspectiva sociocultural de la guerra, a partir del análisis de prensa periódica regional, fuentes intrapartidarias y testimonios orales.
