Estaes una variante de la interpretación temática deHam apoyada en la museología centrada en lospúblicos. A partir de un concepto antropológico-históricode los patrimonios, es factible proponer una lainterpretación patrimonial que promueva que la ciudadanía comprenda y disfrute más profundamentelos beneficios que el patrimonio nosofrece. En particular, los aportes de la antropologíay la historia pueden ayudarnos a combatirel etnocentrismo y el cronocentrismo que estándetrás de muchas formas de discriminación y dediscursos supremacistas y colonializadores. Elpresente texto presenta las características generalesde ese enfoque, así como su relación conla interpretación intercultural. AbstractIn this text we analyze some current discussions,in the context of more inclusive and decolonizinginitiatives, that challenge the pertinence ofheritage interpretation to cultural heritages, toboth those recognized by local communitiesas well as the ones postulated by internationalinstitutions, We argue that even in that contextheritage interpretation remains relevant, whenit is developed through an anthropologicaland historical approach and an interculturalinterpretation vision, such as the one offeredby “Meaningful Divulgation”. This is a strategyderived from Ham´s thematic interpretation andbased on a visitor-centered museology.  Starting from an anthropological and historicalconcept of cultural heritage, it is possible to practice a form of heritage interpretation aimedto allow citizens a deeper understanding andenjoyment of the benefits that heritage offers us.An approach nurtured by the knowledge derivedfrom anthropology and history, can help us tocombat ethnocentrism and “chronocentrism”,which are behind many forms of discriminationand supremacist and colonial discourses. In thistext we present a general outline of such anapproach as well as its relation to interculturalinterpretation.  Mérope.
