Sumario:Since the end of the 20th century, higher education institutions (HEIs) have faced internationalization processes in different ways, adopting policies and practices to carry out this process. In the Latin American region this has meant changes in the dynamics in which cooperation links are established, as well as in the structuring or restructuring of mobility programs, and in relation to the latter, it is necessary to develop measures and actions aimed at providing security tools to manage different episodes of risk they may face. For this, the Student Mobility Program of the University of Chile, through a plan of consultations with its students and open secondary sources, established a Security Protocol, in order to contribute to the management of possible risks related to international mobility, and this article is the story of that experience.
