The local specificities of the Peronist Renewal of the 1980s and the particular dynamics that the political-party game acquired in Jujuy in the 1990s are analyzed, giving an account of the role that the local parliament assumed in the arbitration of power. Finally, the question of the configuration of a new leadership in Peronism at the turn of the millennium and its crisis in the face of the gravitation in the provincial power equation of the neighborhood organization “Tupac Amaru” is addressed. Este artículo describe los lineamientos generales del escenario político-electoral de la provincia de Jujuy focalizando la mirada en el peronismo y sus actores, desde la restauración de la democracia en 1983 hasta el triunfo en 2015 de la alianza electoral liderada por el Radicalismo. Se analizan las especificidades locales de la Renovación peronista de los años ochenta y la dinámica particular que adquirió el juego político partidario en Jujuy en los años noventa, dando cuenta del rol que asumió el parlamento local en la arbitración del poder. Finalmente, se aborda la cuestión de la configuración de un nuevo liderazgo en el peronismo a la vuelta del milenio y su crisis frente a la gravitación en la ecuación de poder provincial de la organización barrial “Tupac Amaru”.
