However, this did not necessarily translate into feminists being able to capture their own interpretative frameworks in the news. In fact, numerous patriarchal stereotypes continue to be reproduced and sustained in news constructions. The particularity in which these patterns of cognition, presentation, selection, emphasis and exclusion (Koziner, 2013) are presented in news coverage requires methodological tools that address the uniqueness of the issue and are suitable for recording recurrences that are often presented in a marginal and/or overlapping manner. In this sense, and from the perspective of Framing, in dialogue with the premises of Agenda Setting and with the ideas of feminist and gender studies, this paper describes the construction of a matrix for the analysis of media frames referring to women in the San Juan news.  Among the results, it is highlighted that most of the analyzed journalistic articles include patriarchal stereotypes in their discourses.   En los últimos años, los movimientos feministas posicionaron a los derechos de género como temas centrales de las agendas mediáticas, políticas y públicas (Ingrassia, 2020). Sin embargo, ello no se tradujo necesariamente en que las feministas lograran plasmar en las noticias sus propios marcos interpretativos. De hecho, numerosos estereotipos patriarcales siguen siendo reproducidos y sostenidos en las construcciones noticiosas. La particularidad en que se presentan estos patrones de cognición, presentación, selección, énfasis y exclusión (Koziner, 2013) en las coberturas noticiosas, requiere de instrumentos metodológicos que atiendan a la singularidad del asunto y resulten adecuados para registrar recurrencias que a menudo se presentan de manera marginal y/o solapada. En este sentido, y desde la perspectiva del Framing, en diálogo con las premisas de la Agenda Setting y con las ideas propias de los estudios feministas y de género, el presente trabajo describe la construcción de una matriz para el análisis de los encuadres mediáticos referidos a las mujeres en las noticias sanjuaninas. Entre los resultados se destaca que la mayoría de las notas periodísticas analizadas incluyen en sus discursos estereotipos patriarcales. Facultad de Derecho y Ciencias Sociales.
