In this scenario of decomposition of the authoritarian power of the military dictatorship (1976-1983), we study the evaluations, representations and meanings given by the magazine to the political situation created by the Argentine defeat in Malvinas, the subsequent party reorganization attentive to the soon electoral act and, in particular, to the public construction of the presidential candidacy of the radical Raúl Alfonsín. On this point, we find in Redacción an early positive assessment of the radical leader as a new “phenomenon” of politics, whose figure and discourse represented political practices related to the democratic scenario towards which the country was heading. As can be seen from the analysis, the Redacción not only reported on the novelty, but also had an active participation in the construction of a discourse that, while approving, was fed back with the Alfonsinist narration. En este artículo se analiza la posición editorial de la revista Redacción desde la coyuntura abierta por la guerra en Malvinas a mediados de 1982 hasta las elecciones de diciembre de 1983 que consagraron el retorno democrático. En este escenario de descomposición del poder autoritario de la dictadura militar (1976-1983), estudiamos las valoraciones, representaciones y significados otorgados por la revista a la situación política creada por la derrota argentina en Malvinas, la posterior reorganización partidaria atenta al pronto acto electoral y, en particular, a la construcción pública de la candidatura presidencial del radical Raúl Alfonsín. Sobre este punto, hallamos en Redacción una temprana valoración positiva del dirigente radical como un nuevo “fenómeno” de la política, cuya figura y discurso representaba prácticas políticas afines al escenario democrático al que se encaminaba el país. Según se desprende del análisis, Redacción no solo informó sobre la novedad, sino que tuvo una activa participación en la construcción de un discurso que, a la vez que aprobaba, se retroalimentaba con la narración alfonsinista.
