| Sumario: | The following work aims to analyze the experience initiated by Mendoza´s Government in terms of professionalization of the public function. For this, we study the creation of the Provincial Institute of Public Administration, the call for competition to fill public positions and the agreements with the National University of Cuyo, in the period between 2017 and 2021. In order to understand these policies, we rely on the concepts of state capacities and professionalization of the public function. In this work, the qualitative approach predominates, combining the use of primary and secondary data. It is argued that the implementation of the analyzed policies contributes to the professionalization of the local public administration, however, the complexity of these processes prevents them from being sustained. |
