The destinations incorporate new attractions to maintain the interest of tourists. Pehuen Có is a resort that has a variety of attractions of which the beach stands out and paleontological tourism is taking center stage. The objective of this paper is to analyze the current tourist situation of Pehuen Có in order to know the strengths and opportunities it has regarding tourism and propose proposals that can contribute to the diversification of its offer. Methodologically, a bibliographic review of relevant concepts and a fieldwork will be carried out to compile an inventory and hierarchy of existing tourism resources and conduct interviews with key informants. The results show that the town has possibilities to diversify its tourist activity. En las últimas décadas se desarrolla un proceso de desvalorización de productos y áreas tradicionales tales como los destinos de sol y playa y, simultáneamente, se crean y valorizan productos alternativos. Los destinos incorporan nuevos atractivos para mantener el interés de los turistas. Pehuen Có es un balneario que cuenta con variedad de atractivos de los cuales se destaca la playa y está tomando protagonismo el turismo paleontológico. El objetivo del presente trabajo consiste en analizar la situación turística actual de Pehuen Có a fin de conocer las fortalezas y oportunidades que posee respecto al turismo y plantear propuestas que puedan contribuir a la diversificación de su oferta. Metodológicamente se realizará una revisión bibliográfica de conceptos relevantes y un trabajo de campo para confeccionar un inventario y jerarquización de los recursos turísticos existentes y realizar entrevista a informante clave. Los resultados obtenidos exponen que la villa posee posibilidades de diversificar su actividad turística.
