description In this paper we focus on two fundamental political battles for the organization and expansion of sexual diversity activism and transvestite/trans activism in Argentina: in the first section, we reconstruct the fight for the equal marriage law won by the activism of the sexual diversity in the year 2010. In the second section, we expose the reactions and counter-offensives launched by conservative activism against sexual and reproductive rights after the enactment of this law. In the third section we focus on the process of fighting for the gender identity law conquered in 2012, giving centrality to the strategies of transvestite/trans activism. In the fourth section, we review the queer/queer criticisms that were raised within LGBT+ activism to the identity demands formulated in a rights discourse. Finally, we integrate the main ideas of this text in a final comment.
